The national coordinating body responsible for the European Week of Sport in Ukraine is the State Institution "Agency for Mass Sports of Ukraine" (also known as Sport for All or Спорт для всіх).The Agency operates directly under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. During the European Week of Sport, they act as the principal National Coordinating Body to promote physical activity under the EU’s '#BeActive' campaign, coordinating local grassroots events, festivals, and charity runs.

The "Side by Side" (Plich-o-Plich / Пліч-о-пліч) program is a massive Ukrainian mass sports movement initialized by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The national finals for the 2025-2026 academic year are scheduled to take place after June 25, concluding a year-long cycle of school and student leagues spanning 12 different sports.

The State Institution "Agency for Mass Sport of Ukraine" (also known as the All-Ukrainian Center for Physical Culture and Sports "Sport for All") is the primary government body tasked with promoting healthy lifestyles, active leisure, and mass physical fitness across the country. Initiatives: - "Active Parks" (Aktyvni Parky): A nationwide project that creates outdoor sports grounds where citizens can exercise under the supervision of professional coaches. It features free training programs, including street workouts and exercises tailored for all fitness levels. - "Healthy Ukraine" (Zdorova Ukraina): A broader presidential program designed to drastically increase the number of Ukrainians engaging in mass sports and active leisure. - "Active Country": Large-scale community and recreational events that integrate sports, entertainment, and wellness into daily public life.

Localized activities in the historic Podil neighborhood of Kyiv, the central city hub for public events is Kontraktova Square, which regularly hosts outdoor recreational gatherings such as open-air dance battles Dance battles on Podil - Kontraktova Square - Mixsport. On July 25, 2025, the Mass Sport Agency of Ukraine (State Institution "Agency for Mass Sports of Ukraine") spearheaded a nationwide initiative as part of the European Week of Sport. The agency, operating under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, organized 72 large-scale physical activity events across Kyiv and 19 oblasts, engaging over 58,000 participants.
