The International Sport for All Federation (FISpT) announces the official recognition of the State Institution “Agency for Mass Sports of Ukraine” as an Associate Member of the Federation. This partnership reinforces FISpT’s commitment to promoting inclusive physical activity and Sport for All worldwide, with a particular focus on youth, students and socially vulnerable groups.

Founded on 3 April 1982 in Strasbourg at the Council of Europe, FISpT was created to promote Sport for All and to connect organizations and individuals committed to making physical activity accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability or performance level. Over the years, the Federation has become an international reference point for Sport for All, acting as an action‑oriented and consultative body that encourages international exchanges as a factor of self‑fulfilment and a means of bringing people and nations together. Recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1995, FISpT has continued to evolve, and since January 2026 it has been officially registered in Rome, Italy, opening a new chapter of development and global outreach.

The Agency for Mass Sports of Ukraine is a state physical culture and sports institution operating under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. Its mission is to create favourable conditions for citizens to exercise their right to engage in physical culture and sports, by expanding access to services at places of study, residence and leisure, and by promoting a healthy lifestyle through physical activity. The Agency focuses in particular on pupils, students and socially vulnerable groups, supporting their intellectual and physical development and ensuring nationwide programmes, events, festivals and competitions in physical culture, health‑enhancing activities and adaptive sports.

Through this new associate membership, FISpT and the Agency for Mass Sports of Ukraine will begin close cooperation in the design and implementation of joint programmes and initiatives in the field of Sport for All. The two institutions intend to collaborate on national and international projects, exchanges of expertise, conferences, training activities and large‑scale events aimed at increasing participation in physical activity and reinforcing the educational and social role of sport across Ukrainian society and the wider international community.

“Welcoming the Agency for Mass Sports of Ukraine into the FISpT family is an important step for our Federation and for the Sport for All movement,” stated the of the International Sport for All Federation, Marco Tomasini. “Together, we will work to develop innovative programmes that reach schools, universities, communities and vulnerable groups, using Sport for All as a tool for health, inclusion and peace.”

“For Ukraine, joining FISpT is not just about international recognition — it is about building a strong, systematic approach to mass sport as a national infrastructure. We are focused on creating scalable models that engage young people, students and communities in regular physical activity. This partnership opens new opportunities for knowledge exchange, joint initiatives and integration into the global Sport for All ecosystem,” said Andrii Rebryna, Director of the Agency for Mass Sports of Ukraine.

In the coming months, FISpT and the Agency will define a common roadmap to launch concrete collaborative actions, including shared events, knowledge‑sharing platforms and joint participation in international Sport for All initiatives. This partnership reflects a shared vision: sport as a universal right and a powerful driver of well‑being, social cohesion and mutual understanding among peoples.
