The International Sport for All Federation (FISpT) and the ITTF Foundation have formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote table tennis for all worldwide and to advance shared values of sport accessibility, social inclusion, health, and community development. The agreement establishes a structured framework of cooperation between the two organizations, leveraging their respective networks and expertise to expand participation opportunities in and through table tennis. The partnership is initially set for a duration of one year, with the possibility of extension upon mutual agreement between both parties.

Under the MoU, FISpT recognises the ITTF Foundation as a Committee Member within its organisational structure and delegates the management and coordination of the Table Tennis for All sector within the FISpT network to it. The ITTF Foundation will represent and develop table tennis for all initiatives in alignment with FISpT’s mission and values, focusing particularly on projects that make sport more accessible to diverse communities.

Speaking about the partnership, ITTF Foundation Director Leandro Olvech highlighted its importance:

This partnership with FISpT marks an important step in strengthening our shared vision of making table tennis truly accessible to all. Through this collaboration, we aim to expand the reach of the TT4ALL programme and use table tennis as a powerful tool to promote inclusion, health and community development worldwide.

The cooperation will focus on several key areas, including:

  • Promotion of the TT4ALL (Table Tennis for All) programme throughout the FISpT international network.

  • Support and dissemination of World Table Tennis Day (WTTD), celebrated each year on 23 April.

  • Joint initiatives that use table tennis to foster social inclusion, health, and well-being.

  • Exchange of information, best practices, and resources relating to sport for all activities.

  • Facilitation of participation by FISpT member organisations in ITTF Foundation programmes and events.

Through this collaboration, FISpT and the ITTF Foundation reaffirm their commitment to making table tennis a vehicle for inclusion, empowerment, and positive social change for all.

Emphasising this shared vision, Marco Tomasini, CEO of the International Sport for All Federation (FISpT), added:

With this agreement we are placing table tennis at the heart of our Sport for All mission, working with the ITTF Foundation to reach communities that traditional structures too often leave behind. By joining forces with the ITTF Foundation, we are turning a shared vision into concrete action, using table tennis as a simple, powerful tool to promote inclusion, health, and active citizenship across our entire network.

In this framework, the ITTF Foundation has been recognised as a Committee Member of the FISpT. A Committee Member is an organisation recognised by the FISpT to develop specific sporting and educational activities on the FISpT's behalf.
