On the 29th of October 2023, UESpT (Union Européenne du Sports pour Tous) has conducted with success the Extraordinary general meeting, at CONI, Palazzo H, in the Sala Giunta.
The assembly was open with the regards of the president of FISpT (Federation Internationale du Sport pour Tous) Mr Isa Abdulrahim Mohammed, the regards of the UESpT (Union Européenne du Sports pour Tous) president Michele Barbone, Ms Ciuffetti Rosanna from Sport e Salute and Scuola dello Sport and, finally, the regards from Mr Giovanni Malagò, president of CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) - IOC member.
We are informing all of you that the results of the election are the following:
- President: Michele Barbone
- Vicepresident: Anita Pariani
- Vicepresident: Veneta Petkova
- Treasurer: Niki Machaira
- Secretary general: Arturo Steffe
- Board member: Oleksandra Boliak
- Board member: Marco Zerbini
This will be the Board of Directors of the UESpT (Union Européenne du Sports pour Tous) till the next election.
The members have also decided to update the statutes and move the headquarters to the MIDAS offices (via Giordano Bruno, 118, 1° piano int. 4- 47521 Cesena (FC)).
After the decision of FISpT (Federation Internationale du Sport pour Tous) to expell UESpT (Union Européenne du Sports pour Tous) and to remove the recognition to UESpT (Union Européenne du Sports pour Tous) with a presidential act in 2022, there were no continental union rapresenting FISpT (Federation Internationale du Sport pour Tous) in Europe.
In the election held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr Michele Barbone, vicepresident for Europe, was appointed as commissioner for Europe with the mandate to establish a new continetal union under FISpT (Federation Internationale du Sport pour Tous).
The assembly hed in Rome, after a discussion, decided to do not create a new continetal registered body but to work and act as a steering committee under FISpT (Federation Internationale du Sport pour Tous). They will continue to use the name UESpT (Union Européenne du Sports pour Tous) with a new statutes and new communication channels.
The old continental association, even if it was eventually registered by the previous management, is no more entitled to represent FISpT (Federation Internationale du Sport pour Tous) in Europe. UESpT (Union Européenne du Sports pour Tous), as a steering committee of the FISpT (Federation Internationale du Sport pour Tous) members, will start the activities in Europe with the new year.
The assembly, at the same time, agreed to give mandate to the board to work on a new statutes as the actual one, even if it is changed, it is not yet adeguate for a modern sport organization.
The assembly was closed with the approval of the new activities and the approval of the new social medias, including the new websites.
The members decided to maitain the old UESpT (Union Européenne du Sports pour Tous) logo.
